These terms apply to all legal services provided by Nadia Karabatsou (Athens Bar Association member), trading as Nadia Karabatsou Legal Support & Consulting, to clients who engage our services. A formal engagement letter will be issued for each matter and must be signed before work begins.
We provide legal services under Greek law in the areas described on this website. The precise scope of each engagement is set out in the relevant engagement letter. We do not provide tax advice; we recommend clients seek specialist tax advice in their country of residence and/or in Greece as appropriate.
Our fees are agreed in advance on a fixed-fee basis for each matter. Fee estimates provided on this website are indicative only. A binding quote is provided in the engagement letter after an initial consultation. Disbursements (third-party costs such as state fees, notary fees, apostilles and translations) are charged at cost and are not included in our legal fee unless explicitly stated.
Where we act under a Power of Attorney, the scope of authority is limited strictly to the matters specified in that document. We will not take any action beyond the stated scope without your express written authorisation.
As regulated legal professionals, we are subject to Greek anti-money-laundering obligations. We are required to verify the identity of all clients and, in certain matters (including property transactions and estate administration), to conduct source-of-funds checks. We cannot begin work on any matter until client due diligence is complete.
All information you share with us is protected by attorney-client privilege under Greek Bar regulations. We will not disclose your information to any third party without your consent, except where required by law or our regulatory obligations.
These terms and any engagement are governed by Greek law. Disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of the Athens courts.
