Digital Nomad Visa

Remote Work from Greece

Greece's dedicated digital nomad programme. For non-EU nationals working remotely for employers or clients outside Greece. 12-month initial stay, extendable. Minimum monthly income €3,500. Work from Glyfada. Travel across Schengen.

Family Reunification

Bring Your Family to Greece

Additional Pathways

Other permit categories we handle.

Beyond the three primary income-based permits, we handle a range of additional residence categories for those who qualify through employment, long-term presence or investment.

EU Blue Card

For highly qualified non-EU nationals. Requires a job offer in Greece above the applicable salary threshold. Designed for skilled professionals seeking to build a career in Greece.

Long-Term Resident Permit

After five years of legal continuous residence in Greece. Near-permanent status with broader rights than standard residence permits — including access to employment and social security on a par with Greek nationals.

Greek residence permit process
The Process

From eligibility call to residence card in four steps.

01

Eligibility Call

We confirm which permit matches your situation, income source and family profile — and flag any complications before you invest time in document collection.

02

Document Collection

We prepare your checklist country-by-country. Apostilles, certified translations, income proofs, medical insurance documentation — everything specified by the applicable regulation.

03

File Submission

We submit the complete application to the Aliens Department under Power of Attorney. We manage all authority communications, requests for additional information and deadline tracking.

04

Permit Issued

Residence card collected from the authority and forwarded to you. Biometrics appointment is the only in-person step — we schedule it at your convenience, often in a single day.

Most applications can be filed without you being in Greece. Most residence permit applications can be filed entirely under Power of Attorney. You do not need to be in Greece for most of the process — only for biometrics, which we schedule at a time convenient to you. Many clients complete the biometrics appointment in a single visit of less than one day.

FAQ

Common questions about Greek residence permits

The Five-Year Independent Financial Resources permit. For non-EU nationals who live in Greece without working there. Requires proof of sufficient income from abroad — currently approximately €3,500 per month for a single applicant. Renewable every five years and a common stepping stone to Long-Term Resident status.
Only for employers or clients based outside Greece. You cannot take employment with a Greek employer or provide services directly to Greek clients under this permit. For those seeking to work in Greece, the EU Blue Card or a standard employment-based permit is the correct route.
Typically 3–6 months from application submission to card issuance, depending on the permit type and current processing workloads at the Aliens Department. FIP applications tend to be faster than employment-based permits. We give you a realistic timeline estimate on the eligibility call.
Yes. Family reunification permits allow spouses and dependent children to join a residence-permit holder. The family permit duration mirrors the primary permit holder's. We handle both the primary and family-member applications together.
Not legally required, but strongly advisable. Permit applications have technical requirements that vary by nationality, income source and family structure. Errors or missing documents cause rejections and restart delays. A rejected application also goes on record — something we help you avoid entirely.
